Privacy Policy

Rebellion Defense, Inc. and its affiliates, including Rebellion Defence, Ltd. in the United Kingdom, (collectively, “Rebellion,” “we,” and “us”), are committed to being transparent about the ways in which we collect and process information relating to individuals (“Personal Data”). This statement (the “Privacy Policy”) sets forth our policies and practices for handling Personal Data in compliance with the laws that govern the protection of personal data, including the European Union (“EU”) General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the United Kingdom (“UK”) GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), and other applicable laws and regulations.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to Personal Data that is collected or processed by Rebellion where Rebellion is acting as a service provider or where it otherwise collects or processes Personal Data solely on behalf of a Rebellion customer (“Customer”).

This Privacy Policy does apply when (i) you use the Rebellion websites and any mobile, desktop application, or other service that link to or refer to this Privacy Policy, such as our website www.rebelliondefense.com, or our affiliate Rebellion Defence, Ltd.’s website www.rebelliondefence.com; (ii) where you voluntarily provide Personal Data to Rebellion, for example, in order to attend any Rebellion corporate events or as an applicant for employment with Rebellion; and (iii) where Personal Data is collected through our products, (collectively, the “Services”), except where collection and processing is undertaken by Rebellion as a service provider or solely on behalf of a Customer, as stated above.

The Services may include links to the websites of other businesses, products, and services, each of which may have their own privacy notices. These third-party websites and services are outside of our control, and they may send their own cookies to you, collect data, or solicit Personal Data from you. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Personal Data collected through other websites or online services. We are not responsible for the security or privacy of any Personal Data collected by other websites or other services. When visiting any other websites, please review and familiarize yourself with the relevant privacy notices and terms of use.

Collection of information

We may collect Personal Data from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below, for the Services, including currently and in the preceding 12 months. If you do not provide your information when requested, you may not be able to use the Services if that information is necessary to provide you with the Services or if we are legally required to collect it.

When you use the Services, we may collect information about you, such as:

Information you provide directly to us. This may include, for example:

  • Name and other identifiers;
  • Contact details, such as email address, telephone numbers, and address;

  • If you have applied for a job with us, the Personal Data you provide (including but not limited to name, contact information, and resume) will be used and retained for recruitment, compliance and other human resources and business purposes only; and
  • If you have been hired by us, employment information, including the Personal Data you provide (including but not limited to name, contact information, resume, copies of identification documents, social security number, job history, and financial data such as bank account number), will be used and retained for human resources and business purposes only.
  • Any other information that you submit to us, electronically or offline.
Processing and use of information

We may use and otherwise process each of the categories of Personal Data identified above for the following business purposes:

  • To provide the Services, including by allowing you to participate in features of the Services, and to provide information and services that you request from us;
  • To administer the Services and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical, and survey purposes, and to improve the Services to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device;
  • To keep the Services, business, Customers, and users safe and secure, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and to protect or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
  • To market our products and services, including by communicating with you; and
  • With your consent. We may process certain personal information in order to fulfill any other business or commercial purposes at your direction or with your consent.

However, Personal Data collected from and about employees and job applicants is used only for the purpose of evaluating a candidate, conducting a background check, for internal compliance and employment purposes, and as may be required by law.

We retain your information for only as long as necessary to fulfill the business purpose for which we have collected it, which generally is no longer than 4 years after such purpose has been fulfilled, except where we are required to retain it longer by law. For example, in the case of a litigation hold or a regulatory requirement, we may need to retain your information for longer than 4 years after the business purpose for which it was originally collected has been fulfilled.
