Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

Rebellion Defence Limited [Rebellion Defence] opposes any form of human rights violation. This policy statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the United Kingdom’s (UK) Modern Slavery Act 2015. It lays out the steps taken by Rebellion Defence Limited to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our business or in any part of our supply chain.

About Rebellion Defence Limited

Rebellion Defence is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rebellion Defense Inc, and builds products that serve the mission of national security and defence for the United Kingdom, the United States and their allies.

Our offices are located in London and Washington DC. The headquarters of Rebellion Defense, Inc. is located in Washington DC, with Rebellion Defence Limited being located in London where it undertakes sales and engineering activities.

Our Position

Rebellion Defence is committed to maintaining and improving our systems and processes to avoid complicity in slavery or human trafficking. To support our position we have an annually reviewed Modern Slavery Policy which demonstrates our opposition to modern slavery. We ensure our suppliers are aware of our policies, and encourage them to adopt the same high standards.

Rebellion Defence strongly believes that how we do business is as important as what we do. Fundamental to our business ethos is that we demonstrate integrity and compliance across all aspects of our company activities and at all times act in an ethical manner.

At Rebellion Defence, we are opposed to any form of slavery or human trafficking, and are committed to ensuring that our systems and processes are constantly improved to avoid complicity in these activities. We are also committed to preventing the use of all forms of forced, compulsory or child labour in any of our business endeavours.

At all times we respect and support the human rights of our employees to a safe and secure working environment that is free of discrimination and which encourages freedom of association across all of our business areas.

Living Wage

Rebellion Defence is committed to paying all of our employees above the United Kingdom Living Wage.

Our Processes and Procedures

Rebellion Defence continuously works to ensure that we maintain the highest human rights standards through constant review and updating of our working practices. We have incorporated the consideration of slavery and human trafficking related risks into our due diligence process. The purpose of this process is:

  • Identify, monitor and manage areas of potential risk in our business and supply chains
  • Scrutinise any identified areas of risk within our business and supply chains
  • Adopt a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking throughout the organisation and our supply chains
  • Provide support and protection from detriment or disadvantage to any person who, in the public interest, raises genuine concerns amounting to a protected disclosure.
  • Processes are in place across Rebellion Defence Limited and our parent company Rebellion Defense Inc that allow our employees to raise issues concerning human rights through their management chain or if they consider it necessary to go directly to the company Founders. This includes employee access to a ‘Whistleblowing’ process that allows them to raise.
Risk and Compliance

We do not consider that we operate in high risk sectors or locations because modern forms of slavery are not present in the countries in which we operate.

Training

Training will be given to all Employees of Rebellion Defence Limited on an annual basis concerning their obligations as set out in this policy.

Next Steps

Rebellion Defence Limited, in conjunction with our parent company Rebellion Defense, Inc., will continue to work to improve our human rights performance through constant monitoring and reassessment of our policies and working practices.
