Stephen began his career as a Senior Developer in Quantitative Research and Development (R&D) at ING's global macro desk. He reshaped ING’s Global Macro trading and portfolio management team by building the first alpha generation engine, portfolio allocation and bet-sizing system, financial derivatives pricing and trading system, data curation and engineering pipelines, and buy-side algorithmic trading and risk management systems.
At Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE), Stephen's led global R&D initiatives, implemented innovative pricing and risk products, and integrated machine learning to improve operational efficiency. Before joining Rebellion Defense, Stephen reshaped AI and data strategies at the healthcare giant, McKesson. He has authored multiple patents for systems applying mathematics and statistics, and helped shape electronic options markets at ICE/NYSE.
Stephen is a proud alumnus of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, holding an MBA in addition to an MS in Quantitative Finance and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
